Very friendly and personal service. Small but cozy, feels like homemade not like other chains cafes.
Absolutely love this place, Everyone that works there is really nice. Dan is excellent he remembers my usual which is their matcha latte, and everytime he makes it perfect. If your hungry anything he cooks and makes comes out perfect. They also have a set up where every I think its 9 cups you get your 10th one free, which is great when you go there alot. The atmosphere is side is also nice and laid back, and good place to sit and eat as well.
Great little coffee shop, and they have musical instruments in the back!
EXCELLENT coffee and vegan decaf lattes. Relaxed, great place to meet up and have coffee and pastries.
Great food. There is no sense of urgency when making your food. Do not go if you are on any kind of time crunch
Nice place nestled in Northport Village
Caffe Portofino is awesome. I go there everyday for tea, lunch, etc, sometimes multiple times every day, and never tire of the great food, beverages and the fabulous attitude of everyone who works there. Rosemary runs a great ship and the stuff that comes out of her kitchen... Holy smokes! I highly recommend Caffe Portofino to any and all.
Poets in Port - a poetry reading the last Friday if the month at 7:30 PM.
Great baked goods made fresh on the premises, nice fun atmosphere, great sandwiches
Nice place
Adorable
Iced Coffee and Iced Caramel Macchiato were very good. Their pastries also looked very good but we didn't try any. The atmosphere is similar to a thrift/antique shop. The workers were a little slow, but that didn't bother me.
My favorite thing about this coffee shop is the atmosphere. The local art on the walls provide a rotating array of art each month. The music is at the right volume and seating is plentiful. The coffee is okay. It can be weak at times. The latte is a better choice. There is a good selection of freshly baked goods, including gluten free options. The staff is unfriendly. I have since stopped goin here after my last several visits have been underwhelming.
Been recently getting coffee from here and I like it a lot. . Older lady working there seems kind of grumpy every time I go. Never says hi or good morning or anything. I've yet to see her with a smile. Not really interested in going back.
So I've been here multiple times, and I just found that the coffee was mediocre. The food also isn't all that good either. The croissants are weird, being that they are more like a roll, nonflaky, and don't have a buttery flavor. I also ordered an egg sandwich once, and the avocados was bad. I don't know that I would go back here, for either food or coffee.
Food leaves a lot to be desired. Coffee is good but not the best I have ever had. The espresso is weak and tasteless. Food is not fresh, having tried different things more than 10 times over seven months. Salad greens are often slimy. Crossiants in morning seem to be leftover from days before. The ventilation is terrible... you leave with your hair and clothing smelling like an oiley, burning panini press during lunch time. The lighting is very dark and it is often hard to tell if the store is even open. I kept trying to love this place but just couldn't do it. It is a good place to read a book or take your kids for a quick snack or sandwich but not to much more.
Excellent coffee, best in the area
Tasty drinks and quirky atmosphere. Convenient to Northport village. Tables are a little small and cramped.
Portafinos started my day everyday of my visit back to Northport. Love the cozy atmosphere, coffee and food.
awesome place
Pretty good coffee shop for Long Island. Good sandwiches.
Very good.
Excellent espresso, delicious fresh pastries, rotating local artwork, and friendly staff. Truly a gem in downtown Northport.
Hole in the wall coffee shop. Nice staff and good coffee.
Nice place and good to have local options, but it could really benefit from an overhaul or thorough clean-up. Good on them for continuing serving during COVID, but the coffee only reasonable. Pastries were good.
A surprised gem of coffee to stay. Has a seating area at the back decorated with photos and a piano, anyone can play it and give it an added warm atmosphere. There’s also original print artworks for sell by the side of the counter. Decorated homely feel and cozy. Great for a coffee inside during the cold winter or rainy days.
Great place..great people working there !
Excellent coffee in the village. Within walking distance of my house. I go there a few times a week. Great people, great coffee, great atmosphere.
Good coffee and sandwiches. Nice atmosphere.
Excellent quality coffee and treats. Superior staff, friendly and professional
Good coffee, tea, pastries, breakfast, sandwiches in a small casual sidewalk café. Piano & guitar for the playing.
Excellent quality coffee for fair prices compared to other places in the area. Love giving my patronage to support a well-run local business like Portofino. Their pastries are always fresh, and their breakfast options are delicious as well.
Excellent food!!!!
Overrated from my view, cappuccino was watery, chocolate croissant is far away from an actual croissant and savory Rubin muffin almost burned and not much meat in it...
Always a good place to meet a friend for coffee,
